Edited post because there was a thread about recommendations already that was actually helpful, so making this a bit for enjoyable.

List your first anime you watched, that you watched knowing it was an Anime (for me Anime has to be of Japanese origin I still don't know if that's actually true), that actually got you into watching more anime until you have become a hardcore fan. I'll start with mine, I'm not exactly sure xD

But the first one I watched (as a series, properly from the start and sequentially without spoiling myself) was Eureka Seven ^^

Well, I recommend you watch Anohana, the story goes with just one boy who can see his childhood friend who died and because of that all his other childhood friends were so shaken and split up, the rest you'll have to go watch but prepare a handkerchief this anime will make you cry a lot!

Death note was probably the first anime I actually sat down and binged before, but I used to watch pokemon and yu-gi-oh as a little kid.

Well, not too long ago (some time in 2018), a friend from college introduced me to "The Seven Deadly Sins" (aka "Nanatsu No Taizai"). I only saw the first 2 or 3 episodes and I was already hooked ^-^' It took me a while to finish (thanks school ;u;), but I finished it. I don't know, but even though Meliodas can seem too OP, it's still very fun to watch ^-^ Oh, but don't even get me started on how sad Season 3 Episode 9 was ;u;,,,).

My first one was Hunter X Hunter, the best of all, and then I started Naruto, Hikaru No Go, Yuyu Hakusho... etc ^^
