What was the first Anime that you watched, that actually got you into anime for real?

For me it was outlaw star followed shortly after by DBZ and sailor moon

The first anime that I watched with the awareness of watching a Japanese work (so I was no longer a child who looks at everything without understanding why things are well). It was AKIRA on Vhs. :cool:

Mirai Nikki, even though rewatching it now, i realize its not as good as i remember, but its still got a big touch of nostalgia of getting into anime, and enjoying shows that now id say arent that good

I used to buy CDs for animes like Naruto and One piece
then I got internet and started downloading new episodes
then I started watching other animes
and I got into it

First anime i watched was Attack on titan and i loved it. now im busy with overlord

Mine was defo Neon Genisis Evangelion.
I thought anime was just kids shows.
Boy was I wrong.

Black butler realy got me to continue with Animes, and it was worth it

Probably Death Note. I watched it all in one sitting basically, finding myself hooked on the plot. Great characters and amazing story, full of surprises.
