What was the first Anime that you watched, that actually got you into anime for real?

Jojo bizarre adventures stardust crusaders ova dub on youtube, I thought it was pretty good until i watched the real thing.

I don't know about you guys, but the first anime that started to get me into the anime genre was RE:ZERO, I don't know why people hate it for some reason...

pokemon just pokemon and now i have a crippling anime addiction

My first one was Gintama, and now its my best =c sad that it ended

Mine was when I was but a wee lad(lol) and it was either Yu Yu Hakusho, Zatch Bell, or Bleach!

Naruto haha or full metal alchemist both great shows

Highschool of the dead, although I didn't know what anime was at the time.
