Man it really depends on what youre looking for. The best tech mod in my opinion is Mekanism whilst the best magic mod is Blood Magic

badlion, lunar and pvp mods is enough to me (I just play in servers)

Custom NPCs all the way - love actually filling my towns with people that can do things

Theres so many cool mods! I enjoy Plenty O Biomes, and Worldedit!

Try a modpack instead, a single mod will only offer you better aesthetics or a couple features, but it won't be game changing
