Bitcoin is really a good way to avoid all the drama you get for using Paypal, Skrill, Neteller or any reversible payment processor really. Also, it's pretty much anonymous, but don't think it's 100%. If someone wants to find you, they will.
The value of BTC is so volatile, it's quite remarkable. You would expect any payment system not controlled by a government to fail miserably, yet somehow BTC has succeeded over the years. It must be because people have had enough of Paypal and its competitors.
I remember thinking "I should buy $1000 bucks worth of bitcoins" at about$15 per bitcoin.... it would have made me more money than my house... however... I feel OK because I was going to buy the entire lot via MTGOX - so I'd have actually lost the frikkin' lot.
my problem with them (crypto currencies) is the stability. It's alright being able to pay in bitcoins, but when you have fluctuations like this, it's terrifying having any decent amount of money tied up in it.
I prefer silver eagles! ... not that I can spend the shiney little buggers. I just like 'em yeah, saw one inlondon too...
