What is your budget and what are you planning on doing? Heavy crunchers (gamers, etc.) will want all the horsepower they can get, while "general" users do fine with an i5.

i7 for heavy duty use and/or gaming
i5 for general use and/or gaming too

I5 is much more affordable and it supports most games up to date especially if you plan to take the latest generations , but if you truly have budget for this then why not get your self something stronger like I7 things will work much faster that's the main difference more computing power.

i recommend for you to use the i7, is better than i5, but both of them are good, just the i7 is more strong

If you decide to buy mothearboard it, beware of bios updates because it may not be compatible with the 7th generation

I7 IS BETTER FOR DOING SORT OF doing videos etc i5 i think is better for gaming but i9 is the best for everything

If your on a budget i5 should be well good enough for gaming. But if your going to do anything with production like video editing then I would go the extra mile especially if you have the extra money to go with an i7

i5's are pretty good for gaming escpecially the 7600k and the 6600k, i7 is not really needed

It all depends on what you do with the computer ( gaming, development, graphics, movie making....)

Depends on what you want to get out of it tbh. High end i5's can handle a lot and a re generally cheaper than 7's. I'm running a i5 3570k and it has handled everything I've thrown at it these past 5 years
