is it worth to upgrade phone every year?

No its not for me atleast. It all come down to personal preference and needs

Def not unless you are made of money. Phones don't have major innovations every single year like they once did.

I only upgrade my phone once it breaks or becomes completely unusable (OS is too old, phone to slow, battery can't hold charge, etc.)

I think that the best bang for the buck it's buy an 1 year old flagship phone, cuz youre getting top notch features for a relative low price. The phones devaluate so much, don't spend every year on it, be smart!!

Not for sure, just wasting your money. They just add massive upgrades every 2 or 3 years.

depends on how much you value your phone. I tend to not to be on my phone as much these days, so I don't necessarily rush or care to invest in a new phone every year or 2

i think you should upgrade only if the phone is limiting you. Otherwise keep on using it even if its 10yo
