Could hacking a server get you banned on steam?

For garry's mod if you have full proof and logs of a hacker purposefully abusing and injecting does that mean their steam account could be banned from gmod, etc..?

I had someone hack recently (got past the cac protection/log). So i'm figuring out what further security to take. I can post a full log dump of the user who did it, etc..

If you made him superadmin and he injected scripts nah dude. I dont know if you can report him if he HACKED the server (ftp server, steal files(rcon password)), but probably. Also idk about cac but i dont think he can do shit with logs.

Nah man, if you get hacked you get hacked. Just reinstall your server make sure you have a previous backup. Ip ban him and everything. You can't do nothing about hackers in Garry's Mod it's a sandbox game.

No he will only get a game ban if anything at all, just re install servers and move on.

I didn't actually get physically hacked. just he just injected lua into the console somehow and did a meme spam stuff.
Nothing actually happened, all it took was a restart and cac had banned him auto regardless.

There's no type of ban at all. No game/vac bans.

No, GMOD doesn't give vac bans, just like cod4. Hack, silent aim, wallhack, aimbot. Do whatever you want they don't care.

Hacking a server will not you get banned on steam. Depending on your hacks, it will either be detected by VAC, a script, or a screen grabber. If caught by VAC then you'd get VAC Banned on Garry's Mod which means you won't be able to play on VAC Secured servers.

Only realtime protection is simpLAC and !cake I suppose then, both of which i'm running at the moment. !cake didn't manage to stop this attack which this whole OP is about so simpLAC should finish whatever security measures i'm missing.
