He did make it more popular but not totally him doin the job.

He definitely had a large part in reviving it, though there were plenty others doing the same at around the same time

No, he is played minecraft only for this reasons - up his youtube activity, find some subscribers, make charity in one of his steams..

I think it was inevitable.. it would be interesting to see Microsoft release the player stats and see if they've increased after he started making videos
