Is it okay to get inspirations from Pinterest or get resources from there?

it's perfectly fine to have references, just don't trace and make sure to credit them as the reference !

Pinterest is a great resource, everyone uses it. There's no shame in using it imo

Unsplash.com is better for a bunch of reasons, but sure go for it.. just don't straight up use the image

For resources they are much better sites like unsplash or texturelabs.org. For inspiration Pinterest is great i also can recommend https://www.deviantart.com.

technically if you change anything you find on the internet enough that it becomes a brand new work it's fine for you to use it that way (like change it A LOT from the original and incorporate it into a larger work) but if its something you plan to sell commercially then it's not okay at all. only personal projects.

bottom line; inspiration and references are okay, but for use as actual assets and resources, no. in general it's justa lot safer to just use free to use commercially image sites like unsplash, pixabay, etc.

only if you alter it to the point where it is a pretty unrecognizable thing. unsplash is the safer bet though for sure.

Pinterest has resources as well as references so you can get both as long as you do NOT COPY!
You need to know the thin line between Inspiration and Plagiarism!
