Is it okay to get inspirations from Pinterest or get resources from there?

as long as you take inspiration and don't copy other peoples stuff its fine, sometimes people get into a creative block and need to get inspiration by something to overcome it

If your simply using Pinterest to act as a a moodboard for inspiration i think its totally fine

Yes, A lot of people use pintrest when they hit a mental block

it's perfectly fine to have references, just don't trace and make sure to credit them as the reference

Yes Pinterest is great for inspiration but you cannot use the images directly in your work so they are not "resources" but references for inspiration.

I use it a lot to create mood boards to share with my clients and collaborate with colleagues.

I think getting too much inspiration from sources like Pinterest or Instagram can be a dangerous path since you might loose your own style on the way. It might hinder the development of a truly unique voice in the art/design field.

I second this. I had a buddy who decided to create an almost carbon copy of some funny bob ross stickers. He started selling them on Etsy and had a cease-and-desist order show up in his mailbox a couple of weeks later. He only had like 2 sales, but he was freaking out about getting sued.
