Rock is just a major umbrella with so many different genres. And so much good new artists being discovered on IM and YT on every single genre. You just need to find what type of rock you like.

Most rock radio has drifted into mainstream pop and acoustic more than rock.

Very little new is happening in rock music today compared to 25 years ago. What is new is a blending of rock with electronic, rap, etc. We celebrate old bands from the 70s, and the biggest new rock band right now is Greta Van Fleet which just emulates a band from the 70s. New things are happening in those other genres, so it's where people flock. Rock will have a comeback someday.

For me Rock is having a come back in Rap (believe it or not, Machine Gun Kelly is killing it) but it may be not what you're after. (Yungblud, Twenty One Pilots, Killstation, Saint Jhn)
BUT you must listen to Silverstein last album...
