I'd rather listen to good old "dead" rock music than "current" music that can be heard everywhere and makes me want to vomit. Music is a permanent reinvention, based on themes that have crossed decades. Every year new bands appear, whatever the musical genre, including rock, and every year you can find real nuggets, and for my part I think I will love rock music until I die.

I think no.
Music sometimes moves in cycle. Big hair rock to punk to grundge to pop to hip hop to boy band to kpop. In time rock will cycle again.

No but it's definitely stale right now. Can't even think of a recent rock song that was a hit. I think there will be a revival soon though, thats what happens with most genres

Rock isn't dead. According to a recent music survey

Top genre by continent

Africa African
Asia Experimental/electronic
Europe House
North America Alternative Rock
Oceania Alternative Rock
South America MPB (Brazilian Popular Music)

Still plenty of peoples favourite genre when asked.

in music point of view? no not yet.
socially? yes.

US's rock has foundation of low-income mediocre-educated white population.
does their culture still appreciated by people? not really.
so yeah, they are dead

For me Rock is having a come back in Rap (believe it or not, Machine Gun Kelly is killing it) but it may be not what you're after. (Yungblud, Twenty One Pilots, Killstation, Saint Jhn)
BUT you must listen to Silverstein last album...

today yes, classical rock and roll and all its variety are dead. I don't mean a few methuselahs who still make music Smile
