Everytime a the style changes people call it trash.
8 years ago it was Lil Wayne and Yung Money all over the charts. Now it's a bunch of mumble rappers and Drake

Lmao Drake stays winning by changing his style everytime some new shit starts bubbling up.

i don't think rap music as a collective is trash necessarily. i don't really listen to rap music that much, though.
i think it's just the lyrics that are trash. the songs themselves are not, but the things that they say are pretty fucking dumb
using rap as a medium to express your troubles with society, or troubles with life in general, is a lot better compared to using it as a medium to brag about how you have 37 bitches riding your cock and now you have HIV
yeah

Yes. I 've said it. Rap is officially dead off the genre of music due to mumble rappers. I do not know about you guys, but I prefer Eminem and Token.

well, fuck this, nigga that, guns, knifes drugs, I mean what is the appeal for that type of music?

There are some artists that do that in rap, some that don't. Generalizing rap into that single category would be bad.
Joyner Lucas, for his "I'm not racist" song, takes the perspectives of a MAGA white man and a black man and makes into a rap song about their conversation.
Chance The Rapper has some elegant songs that are typically upbeat and calming, and his newest singles exemplify that.
Amine is another rapper that has some songs that are basically sattire and trash on those types of rapping, etc.

There's a lot of artists out there that just don't rap about this stuff.
Some talk about racial division, inequality, and current problems going on in our society today.

I disagree. Yes, there are some rappers that are just singing about the thug life. But, most are actually putting together some rhymes that are really complex.

My words. The only Rap I "support" is a bit of Eminem but that's it already. But why I hate it could possibly come from my friends who are just hearing german gangster rap, worst genre ever xD

I know m8, I mean the old American Hip Hop, the classic one is the good shit. I also live in Germany and German rap genre just really sucks ass
