For me, i've got to lay on my back. fold my arms like i'm dead and focus on my breathing. Which means when my gf is over and she's glued to my side, not only am I overheating but It throws me off my mental checklist. But try focusing on your breath. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Puts me out fast. Hope you catch some ZZZZ's soon. Sleepy

Take sleeping tablets or strong local anaesthetic. this will increase Sleep odds lots and lots.

There's a military method I use a lot.

I just lay on my back and focus on my breathing, i'll go from my toes to my head saying to myself in my head "Toes, relax" syncing it with my breathing. Once i relax everthing I think of a nice place, usually i picture myself on the water in a canoe just enjoying the view. usually takes me 3-4 minutes to fall asleep from perfectly awake.

If all else fails. take 400mg of advil and just lay back and wait 10 minutes. you'll be out cold.

Listen to a relaxing podcast, or a boring one! Also try one of the sleep apps like calm.

do some sports and take a shower
the muscles will be relaxed and you will sleep better

I just take melatonin and watch netflix or hbo until i feel tired enough to sleep, I usually get in bed an hour before i actually have to be asleep to give myself enough time to relax. Whiskey also helps a great deal but it's not worth becoming an alcoholic because of it.

Don't sleep or sleep only when you are so exhausted that you pass out sitting up watching lame YouTube videos. Hey works for me
