For small things like temporary promotional goals its great, or explaining a single subject, but when you are aiming at mobile devices scrolling over 4 pages whould be a drag <- see what i did there!?

I think it's okay just to propose an item offered for sale. Usually these single page sites are made for the sale of Ebooks, guides or manuals. I think they are not the best, but maybe it depends on what you use it could be good.

It really depends on what you need. You can't simply copy one page design from a successful webpage and expect a good result. Your site might need completely different layout.

Pros:
Simple to use
Good for simple product/service presentation

Cons:
If you need more functionality

yes, very modern as an idea, but it always depends on the contents you want to scroll, some need another type of effect

Single webpages are good for personal websites like a portfolio or sort. Like some mentioned, It could affect your search ranking. For portfolios and blogs, it shouldn't be a problem and is a fantastic solution.

I think it very much depends on your target audience. But still, one page design can work even for complex sites but then I'm not sure what the point would be. For basic pages then yes it's great.

Single page websites can be good for simple portfolios & freelancers, but don't use them for your business (if you are not too lazy). They can also be used for lead generation.

I think those pages only serve to "look good" and for landing page, putting quality content and categorizing it would be difficult, obviously everything depends on the needs
