I think the best is photoshop but you have to be familiar with it to make cool stuff. Easy programs are hard to find.

Photoshop is the best, but it's a Ferrari when most people need a Civic. Affinity Photo is a great alternative if you want a perpetual license, there are some great free online editors for simple work, I like Pixlr (https://pixlr.com/editor/)

I love Paint.NET - use it for most of my photo editing. I only use Photoshop if I need Content Aware Fill or better masking (might not even need it for masking, soon, as I'm gonna be trialling Topaz Mask AI).

I can't stand the GUI of Photoshop and GIMP for extended work, unfortunately - feel very clunky. But that Content Aware Fill is sweet :D

adobe product.
So far, they are the most popular on the market.
They have everything, video Editor, Photo editor, Creating illustration, and so on.
But still there are other companies and programs, such as Sony Vegas

I use Gimp since it's free whenever I make graphics. For video editing I've been using Openshot Video Editor again because it's free and it does exactly what I need it to do. I don't make videos too often, and when I do I don't edit my videos too excessively.
