This isn't for me but I got a friend who wants to stop smoking but he's struggling he tried replacing cigs with mint gums but it's not really working. You guys got any advice or tricks? He doesn't want to vape either he wants to quit inhaling smoke or vapor.

I quit smoking this new year and i still haven't touched a cigarette since then but my suggestion would be to slowly decrease the amount you smoke
for a month every day, in the end you'll only smoke 1-2 cigs per day and that's when you know you can quit.
After you started quitting smoking you're gonna feel the annoying feeling ofcourse, whenever you feel that
it's not because you urge the nicotine, it's because you're hungry, yes you heard me right, your food intake will increase alot,
and i mean ALOT.

I managed to do this within the span of 2 months and i smoked for a bit over 10 years.

While he said he doesn't want to vape either, it may not be a wrong idea to do so.
The extent to which vaping does or doesn't harm your body is still under discussion, but its definitely not any worse than smoking, and is perhaps a good way to quit smoking, or at least make a start to it.

Vaping is generally less addictive than smoking. The nicotine concentration in e-liquid varies, so your friend could start vaping with a higher concentration nicotine, and slowly lowering it over some time.

What about bad quality vapes blowing your mouth up.

Thank you for sharing this with me, I'll tell him to do this method too. He's smoking now for 6 years and he's getting married soon so he asked me for some advice and I think doing it this way will probably work. ^^

If you are strong enough to do it you can. It might sound cliche but believe in yourself and don't give up. There are no voodoo tricks to it.

The best way to stop smoking is probably to not smoke.
